Centenary Theatre Group has announced auditions for their upcoming production of ‘Radium Girls’ are now open – by DW Gregory and directed by Jason Nash.
About the show:
‘Radium Girls’ is a powerful and engrossing drama based on the true story of female factory workers in 1920’s New Jersey. Grace Fryer, a luminous dial painter fights for her day in court while dying of radium poisoning from pointing brushes in her mouth. ‘Radium Girls’ is a heart-stirring production that fiercely examines the commercialisation of science, the pursuit of wealth, the power of the underdog and the injustices labourers have faced and continue to face in the present.
Auditionees will participate in a cold read of a portion of the script; and may optionally bring short, pre-prepared piece that demonstrates their capability with a general American accent.
