‘Jingle’ was scrumptious.
‘Jingle’ is clearly aimed at the entire family, it was flirty but not dirty (although the pole dancing number seemed to raise a few eyebrows around us) and the humour was lighthearted and fun.

‘Singin’ In The Rain: In Concert’ was glistening.
Prospero Art’s ‘Singin’ in the Rain: In Concert’ was a testament to how powerful simplicity and focus on performance can be in theatre. The stripped-back presentation allowed the substantial talent of the cast and musicians to shine through.
‘GODZ’ was arresting.
‘GODZ’ from Head First Acrobats is playing at Wynnum Fringe after being a hit at the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Fringe and Perth Fringe. ‘GODZ’ has arrived in Brisbane bringing their mixture of storytelling, circus and physical theatre to Wynnum, and poking fun at organised religion and hetero-normative masculinity along the way.
‘First Casualty’ was potent.
Artistic Director Lee Lewis leads an emboldened and dexterous cast in ‘First Casualty’. The actors portray the diverse, dedicated and disheartened serving soldiers, who fuse as a pack to tell Christopher Johnston’s harrowing stories from his memories as a soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan.
‘The Mousetrap’ was iconic.
In a world where musicals dominate much of our stage time, ‘The Mousetrap’ really holds its own, solidifying why it’s one of the longest-running plays in history.
‘Death in a Statesman’ was beguiling.
With a robust cast and highly stylised staging, the creative forces at debase have created a remarkable production.
‘Macbeth’ was bold.
With a strong aesthetic component and dedication to the language, QSE’s first staging of ‘Macbeth’ was a spirited success.
‘Moonlight Ballet’ was effervescent.
Split into two distinctively different, but equally vibrant acts, ‘Moonlight Ballet’ was an effervescent double bill.
‘The Great Gatsby: An Immersive Theatrical Production’ was golden.
Dust off your flapper dresses because Brisbane do we have a treat for you!
‘Boy, Lost’ was thought-provoking.
Belloo Creative’s and Queensland Theatre’s ‘Boy, Lost’ is such an impacting production, that it will leave viewers talking about it all the way home (even if they travel as far as the Gold Coast like our reviewer!).
