‘Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood’ was light-hearted.
Following the titular character Robin Hood as he goes from young child of noble birth to the most wanted man in all of Nottingham, along with his band of merry men, the show that will leave you in fits of giggles has now made its way to Javeenbah Theatre in Nerang, Gold Coast.
‘Les Misérables’ was enchanting.

Wilson’s writing is outrageously humorous and incredibly intelligent. Every character is completely alive, no matter how small and no matter how imaginary.
‘Proof’ was thought-provoking.
In ‘Proof’, Tugun Theatre presents a thought-provoking exploration of the intricate interplay between brilliance and vulnerability, legacy and self-discovery.
‘The Addams Family’ was ghoulish.
Before the curtain rose, the audience was greeted with a stunning set designed by Breanna Gear, perfectly setting the eerie tone of the Addams Family universe. Two ghostly figures at the stage’s edge further amplified the spooky ambience.
‘Monty Python’s Spamalot’ was hysterical.
Watching the show, one would not know that this was a community theatre production. Between remarkable comedy, outstanding acting, extravagant choreography and beautiful costumes, The Spotlight Theatre Company’s rendition of ‘Monty Python’s SPAMALOT’ was incredibly entertaining to watch, and a perfect way to spend a Friday night.
‘The Cemetery Club’ was intimate.
While ‘The Cemetery Club’ can and should be enjoyed by audiences outside of its target demographic, this is a production for and by a mature audience. The themes are about growing older and the shared experience of those who have outlived their partners.
‘Love Labour’s Lost’ was rambunctious.
