Ready to Move In? 

Theatre Haus is opening its doors to welcome its next generation of Haus Mates!

Do you want exclusive access to the hottest theatre news, events and opportunities across Australia? Are you keen to see shows for free and join a friendly team? Do you enjoy watching productions, being involved in the performing arts or writing blogs? Then we’d love to hear from you!

Theatre Haus is made up of a team of creatives who are enthusiastic about the arts and entertainment industry in Australia. In our launch year, 2019, Theatre Haus visited over 170 productions! In 2021, during COVID, we continued to grow from strength to strength – launching a podcast, growing our team and partnering with new neighbours. Now in 2022, we’ve doubled our opportunities and are ready to welcome more superstars to move on in!

This is our annual call-out for volunteers and if you’re a passionate individual like us, then we want you to apply. Check out the positions below and send us an email expressing your interest. These opportunities are for anyone, anywhere in Australia. Our doors are open and rooms are available.

Reviewer

Do you love attending performances, shows and live events? Do you have a critical eye for detail and a knack for writing?

We’re looking for proficient writers with a background or interest in theatre to join our team as a Reviewer. In this role, volunteers review shows in exchange for free tickets. This is a great opportunity for arts or journalism students or early career professionals wanting to build up their understanding of the arts and entertainment industry, and for writers to add published articles to their portfolios.

Social Media Gurus

Do you love keeping up to date with all the socials? We’re talking about being a big fan of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok?Do you want to curate posts for an audience of thousands?

Theatre Haus is looking for some Social Media Gurus to join our team and keep our community in the know with all the latest theatre news and events. This is a great opportunity for marketing students looking to build up a portfolio,
or for up-and-coming influencers hoping to build their following.

Junior Editors and Proofreaders

Is attention to detail your ‘thing’? Lover of words and creative writing? Have you got an hour a week and need to escape the mundane?

Theatre Haus is looking for super excellent proofreaders to help our team of writers and reviewers polish their work for publishing. This is a great opportunity for ex-teachers, literary enthusiasts and theatre lovers wanting to hear the goss on shows before attending. Additional opportunities to also write/review/attend theatre are also included.

Graphics Wiz

Do you have graphic design skills? Lover of Photoshop or InDesign? Maybe you’re just a banger with Canva?

Theatre Haus is looking for some Graphics Wizards to help design visuals for marketing campaigns and to support our Social Media Gurus. This is a great opportunity for high school or graphic design students, or early graphics design professionals looking to build up their portfolios.
