Metro Arts - Bear With Me

Metro Arts to present a new show for teddy bears and their small humans

When was the last time you took your teddy bear to the theatre? Now is the time!

Metro Arts are inviting audiences to enjoy that warm and fuzzy feeling with their plush pal by bringing them along to celebrate the 10th anniversary season of the beloved children’s music show, ‘Bear with Me’.

Part concert, part drama and part playtime (and un-bear-ably warm-hearted), ‘Bear with Me’ is playful, ukulele-ful and absolutely made for joining in. The production is about looking after friends and being looked after. Sometimes it’s no picnic being a teddy bear but being cherished makes the rougher moments bearable.

Brisbane ukulele duo Tyrone and Lesley present this highly interactive show that traverses elements of song, dance and comedy to create an ideal introduction to theatre for little ones aged three to six years old. The show is a gentle and family-friendly participatory performance with songs and actions that deepen the bonds between young children and their teddy bear buddies.

Composed and performed by David Megarrity and Samuel Vincent, aka Tyrone and Lesley, the sweet songs will have you buzzing and humming long after you leave.

Metro Arts are delighted to showcase ‘Bear with Me’ for an enjoyable immersive theatre performance for littlies and their families. On the evenings of 7 December and 10 December, children can wear their PJs as part of a pyjama party evening that features a show, before they head home to bed.

‘Bear with Me’ performs for nine shows from Wednesday, 7 December 2022 at New Benner Theatre, Metro Arts (located within the West Village precinct), West End.

Tickets start at $25.00 and the show is suited for audiences ages 3-6 years old, with a running time of 45 minutes (no interval).

Be sure to bring your teddy bear with you for the ultimate fuzzy-wuzzy date!
