Wall of Faves 2021 - Theatre Haus

New People’s Choice Award coming as Wall of Faves 2021 announced

A new People’s Choice Award will be launched in 2022, as part of Theatre Haus’ Wall of Faves spotlight.

The announcement comes as Theatre Haus announced its Wall of Faves selections for 2021, recognising over 140 theatre groups across Southeast Queensland and beyond.

This annual awards tradition highlights the team’s favourite performances throughout community, independent and professional sectors. Established in 2019, after the launch of Theatre Haus, Wall of Faves celebrates a selection of talent across the performing arts industry with nods to local, national and international producers, performers, artists and creatives.

With over 16 categories being recognised, including Favourite New Work or Script, Favourite Lighting or Sound Design and Favourite Performances by Leading and Supporting Performers, in 2022 a new People’s Choice Award will take centre stage. While details are yet to be completely announced, this separate award will ask the public for their input in selecting the list of nominees for the new category. It will call on anonymous selection, and tally the highest achieving productions for the final selection.

Wall of Faves is announced every year on 30 December, and ahead of the next year of shows.
