Redcliffe Entertainment Centre closes until June

The Redcliffe Entertainment Centre will be closed until Tuesday, 2 June 2020, effective immediately.

The move comes after the threat of COVID-19 continues to rise, causing health concerns. A Moreton Bay Regional Council spokesman said the decision was made to protect patrons.

In a statement on the venues website, cancelled events will have tickets refunded and other events may be postponed.

To protect our patrons and staff during this time, the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre will be closed until 2 June 2020, effective immediately. Cancelled events will have tickets refunded in full. For tickets purchased using credit card, refunds will be processed automatically to the purchasing card. Ticket holders who made a purchase using EFTPOS or cash will be contacted in the coming days to arrange a refund or gift card.

Other events will be postponed to a later date. Current tickets will be transferred to the new date or refunded if the ticket holder cannot attend. Ticket holders will be contacted to discuss their preference.

While some events are still being finalised, the status has already been determined for Redcliffe Musical Theatre’s ‘Mamma Mia!’ which was about to embark on their second weekend of performances. The theatre group have already made it clear the show is merely postponed and will return later in the year. Other productions among the event casualty list include The Wiggles highly-anticipated Queensland ‘Fun and Games’ tour.

Redcliffe Entertainment Centre is currently working with promoters and artists to determine the best possible outcome for upcoming performances. The centre is experiencing a high volume of enquiries that need to be processed and patience is urged from the community.

Cancelled events will be refunded in full to a credit card or gift card, while other events will be postponed. Ticket holders will be contacted.
